Worked across materials, tooling, testing, and process development. Planned controlled experiments, analyzed failure modes, automated test-data workflows, and translated results into production recommendations.

Adhesive Joint Qualification

Designed a trade study and torque-test campaign to evaluate removal methods for a bonded fastener assembly. Presented the recommendation to an Engineering Board, which approved follow-on work and adopted a process change that cut both cost and touch labor per unit.

Cure Reduction Study

Worked with the materials and lab engineers to design and iterate a 3D-printed Creo mold that produced pre-cured adhesive inserts, moving cure off the critical path. The change cut cure time by 50% and eliminated a recurring rework loop in the bonding process.

Lab Shear Testing

Prepared adhesive test articles in the materials lab, mixing and applying adhesive to coupons under controlled cure conditions, then ran shear tests to characterize joint strength and document failure modes.

NASA Space Biology Research

Machine Learning for Spaceflight RNA Data

Investigated how spaceflight affects plant gene expression using NASA GeneLab data. Implemented a k-nearest-neighbors classifier in Python to separate spaceflight samples from ground controls and evaluated where the model succeeded and failed against the underlying biology.

Also conducted a meta-analysis of cardiovascular events associated with microgravity exposure during spaceflight.

Presented the work at the ASGSR conference in Washington, D.C.
